Substitute Teacher Positions

  • Substitute teaching ½ day and full day opportunities.
  • Mondays-Thursdays

Job Description: 
Teach curricula for grades K-8. Teacher candidates will instruct school-age students in the absence of their classroom teacher. Must have experience creating and following engaging lesson plans; creating a caring and positive learning community; planning classroom activities to motivate students; and coaching students individually or as a group. Must be flexible and work well with other professional staff.

Education:  
Preference will be given to those who hold a bachelor's degree and/or a teaching license. Applicant must understand developmentally appropriate practices for early grade students as well as middle school level students.

Skills of a Substitute Teacher include but are not limited to: 
Effective written and verbal communication skills, excellent teaching skills, interpersonal relations skills, time management and organizational skills, administrative skills, and problem-solving skills. He/she must also be compassionate, patient, observant, detail-oriented, and creative.
